Prisma Events was created in 2009 from a place of love, passion, and a little bit of crazy. Owner Aimee Palifroni has been in the hospitality industry for nearly 20 years and has roughly 300 weddings she's curated. With a background ranging from hotels, restaurants, catering, and venues, she is brimming with experience and her "addiction to hospitality" shines bright through each of her events. Our team is small so that we can provide focused, personal attention to each of our clients.
Owner, Lead Coordinator - Aimee I get asked often why I chose event planning. It took me a little time and several different answers to really get to the real one - and then it seemed so obvious. My mother. My mother was, and still is, the impeccable hostess. As a military officer's wife, as her mother before her, the art of the dinner party was an expected trait filled with beautiful displays of pomp and circumstance. I grew up watching my mother create beauty from nothing - food, cocktails, centerpieces, decor. Right down to the smells and music in the air, I envied her grace and imitated her style. As I grew older and eventually moved on to have my own home and friends, I loved to entertain. Birthdays, BBQs, summer soirees - I would make up reasons to have a celebration - just so I could have an excuse to buy fresh flowers to make an arrangement, try that new napkin fold I learned, and concoct the perfect drink for my guests. I started as a catering server in high school and got my first real taste of working in the industry. In my 20's while perfecting the placement of my self-serve hamburger station for a poolside fete, a friend asked why I wasn't an event planner. "WHAT? I could get paid for this?!" The thought had never crossed my mind! I had taken a break from earning my English degree at Colorado State University and decided to return to school at Metropolitan State University of Denver and pursue a degree in Business Management with a minor in Hospitality, Tourism, and Events. While in school I started working as the wedding coordinator for a busy golf course venue and my passion for weddings was ignited. I've worked in an event capacity in some of the best hotels, restaurants, and venues in Colorado before creating my own journey. This story is still building with every year I own, grow, and cultivate Prisma Events and the culture we stand for. It's always been about our couples and being a servant to good taste, beautiful events, and happy times. I love it and I never want to stop! Assistant Coordinator - Christal When you come from a large Latin American family, you learn to appreciate and cherish all the special occasions; whether it be a simple baptism or a lavish wedding and everything in-between. I was born and raised in what most people would call "small town America" - Hobbs, New Mexico. Growing up I could only hope an event would be around the corner so I could participate in the process of bringing joy to family and friends. So when I decided to go after the one thing that made my heart happy, I had the pleasure of finding Aimee and being introduced to Prisma Events. I was given the opportunity to rekindle the joy I felt when planning those special moments growing up.
I too am asked 'why event planning?'. I believe that having people come together to have a special day or special moment is what life is supposed to be about. Being able to bring life to a beautiful idea and weave it all together to create an event for someone is my passion. I love to create the simple yet intricate details that brings a smile to someone's face. That is why I decided to go after my dream of bringing light to people from all different walks of life, to bring happiness, simplicity, and beauty into their lives, one event at a time.
Event Assistant - Whitney There’s something so magical about seeing all the pieces, people, and creativity come together to create a grande finale! My background in performing arts, coupled with my many years in restaurant management give me a distinct set of skills and an eye for building an event that is professional, memorable, and uniquely YOU. My early passion for music and theatre performance led me to a degree in Vocal Jazz. The thrill of building a performance from just the first few ideas to finally seeing it come to life has certainly set the stage for a new passion in event planning. The happiness music brings to others inspires me in the same way an event brings joy to families and friends. I love being able to help bring that joy to others!
I also hold many years of experience in restaurant management and my extensive training and knack for hospitality has given me the expertise needed to juggle all of the many pieces that come together to create the perfect event.
I am thrilled to be a member of the Prisma family! While we all come from different backgrounds and skillsets, our strong desire to be memory-makers, beauty-creators, and party-professionals aligns us and unites us. I can’t wait to be a part of bringing light and life to your event!
